The 09 season will extend thru November with first year market hours every Saturday 10am to 3pm. The Farmers Market will reopen its doors in March 2010. Located at the main entrance to the Sussex County Fairgrounds, the Sussex County Farmers Market makes it easier than ever for consumers to Buy Fresh/Buy Local.
The tradition of agriculture in Sussex County is core to the Fairgrounds and NJ State Fair® Sussex County Farm and Horse Show itself. The Sussex County Fairgrounds and Fair is still community driven and largely volunteer powered.

The NEW JERSEY STATE FAIR® Sussex County Farm and Horse Show was established by the local agricultural community. The Sussex County Fairgrounds was established to house this annual event. The Fairgrounds draw over 200,000 visitors annually. The Fairgrounds owes its growth to countless volunteer hours, efforts and community support. Those efforts and much hard work continues to power New Jersey’s largest agricultural Fair and has allowed the Fairgrounds itself to become a venue of choice for a wide array of All Season family events. So it only makes sense that that the Fairgrounds become home to one of the few markets housed in a permanent building.
