Hours
The Administration Building is staffed Tuesday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Summer Hours are Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pets
The fairgrounds has a no pet policy. Service animals are an exception.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in tents and buildings.
Handicapped Accessibility
Main roads in the fairgrounds are paved.
Strollers & Wheelchairs
It is up to the individual events (other than the FAIR) to provide strollers & wheelchairs for their visitors. Check with the contact person for the specific event. For strollers, wheelchars and scooters for the FAIR ONLY click here.
Lost & Found
Lost and found articles may be dropped off or recovered at the Administration Building. Phone number 973-948-5500 ext 3.
Parking
Parking is on grass within and surrounding the grounds.
Restrooms
There are two restroom facilities. The larger, more centrally located facility includes a family restroom. All facilities in the main restroom have a changing table.
Other Facilities
There is a service station, postoffice, bank, and several restaurants with 1.5 miles of the fairgrounds.
Local Visitors
Local visitors wishing to use the fairgrounds for walking, cycling, etc. are required to stop at the office and fill out a liability form.
For Fairgoer SAFETY, the following items are not allowed on the Fairgrounds:
- Open Containers
- Alcoholic Beverages (Unless purchased at an event)
- Controlled Substances
- Boom Boxes
- Weapons
- Roller Skates
- Skate Boards
- Bicycles
- Unauthorized Vehicles
- Fireworks of any kind
- Animals - (Except aid dogs or show animals with permits)
The following are not allowed:
- Disruptive behavior or unlawful acts
- Solicitation, distribution, or selling of product outside of a contracted booth
- Distribution of literature outside of a booth or in the parking lot
Personal items brought onto the facilities may be subject to search.
Sussex County Farm & Horse Show Association oversees the running of the Sussex County Fairgrounds. It is a 501 (c ) 3 non-profit group and receives no federal, state or local funding.
